Rolex President for Men

Rolex Origins: The Rolex President (Day-Date)
Posted by admin / 0 Comments

For what seems like forever, Rolex watches have naturally been associated with heads of State, generals, and various other world leaders. Hence, the modern Rolex with by far the most prestige, and worn by more luminaries than any other watch brand: the Rolex Day-Date.

Released in 1956, the Rolex Day-Date was the first wristwatch to feature the full, spelled-out date along the top of the dial. And in place of the “three” on the dial was an aperture that shows the date as well. The Day-Date earned the moniker “President” due to Rolex in 1980’s briefly referring to the Day-Date as the “Rolex President Day-Date Chronometer” in certain advertisement campaigns. The nickname was likely attributable to Rolex paying homage to the many recent presidents photographed wearing the venerable Day-Date, and when they eventually stopped referring to the watches in that manner, the catchy nickname stuck anyway.

Additionally, an 18.ct crown clasp adorns either a soft alligator leather strap or a solid gold bracelet, designed to making putting

An In-Depth Look at the Rolex President Watch
Posted by admin / 0 Comments

Rolex is the single most recognizable name in the world when it comes to luxury timepieces. Developed over the course of decades, this reputation for timeless beauty, elegance and luxury has now spanned more than a decade and continues to expand as many perceive ownership of a certified Rolex watch as the ultimate mark of achieving financial and social success.

The value of a Rolex goes well beyond its precious metals and stones, unparalleled craftsmanship, exquisite detailing and innovative function. Much of the perceived value of a Rolex watch is due to the history and cultural significance of this brand of timepiece. Rolexes have been presented to and worn by some of the most powerful and influential figures in the world throughout the history of the brand. From the mysterious presentation of the 100,000th certified timepiece to an illustrious gentleman spoken of by the president of the company as “one of the greatest” men of the time who has never been officially identified, but rumored to be Winston Churchill, to the offering of a special Thunderbird model to Air Force pilots coming home from combat in the mid-50s, to special designs being innovated for incredible feats such as breaking the sound barrier and climbing Mount Everest, Rolex has been at the forefront of some of the most incredible cultural and social events in recent history.

One of the most meaningful links to US history, however, is the tradition of offering a Rolex Day-Date to each new President as he

Rolex to Use Youtube as New Advertising Platform
Posted by admin / 0 Comments

Rolex has recently announced that their ads will begin on Youtube. The next time you decide to watch your favorite viral video, you may find yourself viewing a Rolex Watch advertisement prior to viewing. Since Rolex is deemed one of the most luxurious brands in the world, it comes as a shock to many that Rolex would choose Youtube as an advertising platform especially since they are notoriously selective as to where they place their ads.

While Youtube usually surpasses more than 2 billion visitors per day, the average age of the visitors is around 18-24, while the average age of the Rolex Watch owner is around 45-54. This can either be seen as a major oversight on Rolex’s part or an attempt to capture the younger audience. Either way, expect your Youtube experience to be more sensational going forward.

Before viewing your favorite Youtube videos, visit Gold Watch Co.  and view our selection of luxurious Rolex Watches.
